Summary of the course
Adult care workers provide care and support to a wide range of individuals who may be unwell, have a disability or a condition such as dementia.
Providing a high standard of care requires the care worker to be able to demonstrate specific sets of personal attributes, behaviours, knowledge, and skills.
In this course you will begin by thinking about the main personal attributes and behaviours expected of all adult care workers, irrespective of their job roles.
You will also find out about how to maintain individuals’ dignity, show empathy and the action to take when identifying and responding to changes in individuals’ conditions or needs.
You will have an opportunity to explore how you feel when your personal beliefs or culture are challenged at work.
You will explore how you can manage your feelings effectively without it affecting your work whilst maintaining a positive approach and building your own resilience.
The importance of developing your skills in reading, writing, use of number and information technology will also feature in this course.
Finally, you will be able to demonstrate how to work with individuals in ways that demonstrate compassion, dignity and respect for difference as well as how to seek guidance and advice from others to ensure you practice effectively.

The process of enrolment
The process of enrolment is as follows:
When the buyer fully completes payment on the checkout, the buyer gets access to a downloadable acknowledgement explaining the next step.
At the same time, we receive an email notification regarding the purchase, including the buyer's details and their email address.
The buyer is contacted by email within 24 hours of payment, to obtain the names and details of each learner.
Enrolments are on a named person basis, and therefore, the buyer must reply to our email and provide us with the specific details requested.
Once the buyer has replied to our email request and provides us with the requested details, each learner gets a separate Learner Account on the Learning Management System (LMS), gets enrolled into the relevant learning resources.
Each learner is then sent their own login email with instructions on how to use their unique express sign-in link to login, access their learning account, and the courses provided to them.
